Where is the cheapest place to get motorcycle insurance?

by Scooter Insurance on April 10, 2010

I am 21 have a clean driving record and have a motorcycle permit. I got a quote of $30 a month that’s with comprehensive with a deductible of $100. Is this probably as cheap as I can get?

I have an old beat up r6. I got a quote from Gieco. 1 year just liability was over 700. I called my local insurance office, they hooked me up with Dairyland insurance. I now pay 180 a year. I’m 28 with a clean record.

You didn’t say what kind of motorcycle you have, so it’s hard to be very exact. Some places have extra high rates for sport bikes. Some only care about displacement.

I have gone with Progressive for years and I have always found their prices to be near the lowest, and they have been really easy to work with on top of it.
