I’m 18 and moving out of my house. I can’t afford car insurance, so I’m interested in a moped cuz everyone tells me you don’t need insurance. I just saw on a moped website that you DO need insurance. But that site was based in California. Does anyone know if i need moped insurance in NC?

just visit your state dept of motor vehicles, forget asking ppl here from different states. Take note that if you hit someone, something, and they sue you, you have no insurance and therefore can be sued for everything u have today and tomorrow.
