motor bike insurance question?

by Scooter Insurance on June 19, 2010

i only move to london study while my parents are outside london my bike insurance will increase by tripple shall i use my parents address is that count as a froud cause i always go to them over the weekend

That’s exactly what I would do. Just make sure every bit of paper work relating to your bike has your parents address on it.

Well if your bike should get stolen outside the place your staying at, the insurance may refse to pay out if they believe you have failed to tell them that your not living at your parents.
If the bike will be stored at your parents whilst your studing in London, then you dont need to notify them of any change.
If you do decide to take the risk, make sure your bike is very secure whilst parked up overnight.
Although i dont recomend it

The law requires you to use the address that the vehicle will usually be kept at. This will be your London address and NOT your parents address. Putting your parent’s address instead would be using false information.

Entering false information on an insurance application is fraud. No matter how often you ask the question, the law won’t change.
